Gmail Message Locator Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Overview
Gmail Message Locator is a Chrome extension that copies stable Gmail message and thread locators after the user clicks the ID button in Gmail. The extension is designed for source-backed workflows such as AI prompts, support tickets, CRM notes, diligence records, legal review, and internal source ledgers.
Data Collection
Gmail Message Locator does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or store user data. The extension does not send email content, message metadata, locators, analytics, or usage events to Relay Capital or to any external service.
Local Processing
Gmail page metadata is processed locally in the user's browser only when the user clicks the ID button. The extension uses that local page state to identify the selected message or open thread and copy the locator to the user's clipboard.
Permissions
The extension uses the https://mail.google.com/* host
permission only to add the ID button inside Gmail and read Gmail page
metadata needed to identify the selected message or open thread. It uses
clipboardWrite only after the user clicks the ID button to
copy the locator to the user's clipboard.
Remote Code
Gmail Message Locator does not use remote code. All JavaScript and CSS are packaged with the extension. The extension does not load, execute, or inject remote hosted scripts.
